Accountek Previews New Lot/Serial Number Control at Apple Expo

 August 18, 2009 (TORONTO, CANADA)   Accountek Solutions, is pleased to announce the preview of the new highly anticipated lot/serial number control functionality of the Connected Enterprise application at the Apple Expo in Toronto on August 21, 2009.

After displaying a wide array of new features and interface improvements to an enthusiastic Macworld audience in January, Connected has received a tremendously positive reaction.

This version's improvements focus around enhancing navigation, the program's interface, and the ability to customize for each user.  Specific changes help users customize their own fast key combos using the new "My Places" or add up to 31 user defined fields to a single printed invoice.  

Additional enhancements focus on security and integrity with new record audit controls.  Each record, can display the date, time, and user name of the user that added, last edited, and posted each entry.  These changes were designed for accountants and controllers to assist with year end and other audit related tasks.

Planned releases in the fall will focus on further enhancing the custom aspects of the program while ensuring support for the new Mac OS Snow Leopard that is due to be released in September.

Accountek Releases Connected Version 6

October 29, 2008 (TORONTO, CANADA) Accountek Solutions, Inc., worldwide distributors of the Connected Accounting Software, are proudly announcing the major version release of Connected 6.

Amongst the many notable new features in Connected 6 are the addition of custom sales fields and custom purchase order fields. Users can customize Connected like never before by defining these custom fields, adding transaction specific data, and adding them to their printed forms.

Connected 6 marks another substantial achievement in the product's lifecycle. Over the past twelve months there have been over 60 new feature additions over several releases, including major order entry and manufacturing enhancements. The majority of all features are based on direct feedback from Connected users. "We believe the key to successful product development is to continually engage and listen to our users so that we can shape the product based on their practical business needs", says Eden-Scott Reid, Director of Marketing.

Another innovative new feature involves the addition of a Purchase Orders tab within the customer order screen. This new tab easily allows a user to see information related to purchase orders created for a specific customer order. The ability to see each item, the quantity ordered, the due date, ability to print, or the option to drill down and open the actual purchase order make this a valuable and time saving new addition.

Coming soon to Connected are substantial changes to the navigation system and elective controls to further enhance the already optimal audit trail. Connected 6 along with these new additions will be showcased at the Macworld Conference and Expo January 5-9, 2009.
